Bernhard Borges


Bernhard is the Chief Scientist of Fluence Labs, a decentralized serverless computing network. Bernhard is a recognized developer and technologist with an extensive background in distributed and agent-based systems, game theory, mechanism design and bounded rationality.

Prior to Fluence Labs, he held leadership positions at PwCC, IBM and Dock and co-founded multiple startups. At IBM, Bernhard was a distinguished engineer and a member of IBM’s Academy of Technology and Software Architecture Board. Bernhard holds PhD and MBA degrees from Simon Fraser University and a post-doc from the Max Plan Institute, Munich.
