Aviya Skowdron

Aviya Skowron is the Head of Policy at EleutherAI, an AI research non-profit that releases open language models. Their focus is on the intersection of open source and AI policy. Drawing on EleutherAI’s machine learning expertise, Aviya advises both developers and policymakers on best practices while helping to ensure AI innovations remain open and accessible. Their experience includes work on EU and US regulation.

Aviya is also a research affiliate at the Machine Intelligence and Normative Theory (MINT) Lab, Australian National University.
